Alan November video response:

A genuine view of technology, students, and the present and future of education.  An interesting perspective on the notion of work and young people.  I never thought of education and "staying in school" for years as a "loss of work experience" for the future generation.

After watching the video, I thought of my own child's education.  He is entering first grade in a few weeks and althought he will be attending a "great and high test score" school.  I'm not sure technology, as a teaching, learning, and collaboration tool is a priority.  I will investigate further.

I took a technology in education course recently and a large component of the information was about how to use technology and the internet to communicate, collaborate, invent, and solve problems with  and among students in and between classrooms around the world.
